Laser Absorption Spectrum Technique for Gas Flow Velocity Field Measurements
|
Abstract:
An optical technique for velocity measurement in gas flowfield is presented. The technique is based on the observation of Doppler shifted absorption spectrum lines from seeded idodine molecules excited at a laser frequency. Large amount of optical spectrum measurements are made for static and dynamic, unidirectional and dual directional laser excitations at different wave length. Some conclusions are drawn. The key points and difficulties of the technique are also pointed out.
