In this paper, biochromatographic technology is viewed as a new approach with brilliant prospects that conduces to the study of life sciences and provides brand new means and techniques for the modernization study and practical production of Chinese medicinal materials (CMM)as well. The status quo, basic principle, trend, conception and strategy of development of this technology are described.
