Single Micropipette Aspiration Technique for Measuring the Shearing Adhesion Force of Cells

Abstract:
The single micropipette aspiration technique used for measuring the cellular shearing adhesion force in biomechanics experiments is analyzed by mechanical consideration.The analysis showed that this technique is reasonable and feasible, and it would be helpful for studying the adhesive property between individual cell and different substrate materials, or studying the influence of different medicines or adhesive molecules on the shearing adhesion force of cell.The error range of the technique was discussed. An application example for measuring the shearing adhesion force of human osteoblst cell was given.
