Experimental Study of Dynamic Characteristics for Aeolian Soil in West Liaoning Province
|
Abstract:
Through a series of dynamic triaxial tests, the dynamic strength, the dynamic elastic modulus and damping ratio of saturated original aeolian soil from west Liaoning Province were studied under different consolidation pressure conditions. Results indicate that the failure dynamic strength of aeolian soil increases along with the ambient consolidation pressure and consolidation stress ratio increasing, and the dynamic shearing strength is obviously different from the static one; its dynamic elastic modulus increases along with the consolidation stress ratio and ambient consolidation pressure increasing, but the damping ratio change presents an opposite trend. Meanwhile, equations describing the relation of the maximum dynamic elastic modulus and the maximum damping ratio with the effective consolidation stress were fitted respectively, and dynamic elastic modulus and damping ratio were normalized.
