Hemorheology As Applied to Pharmacology of Traditional chinese Drugs
浅议中药药理学中的血液流变学

Research on hemorheological drugs is the most important area in the application of hemorheology to pharmacology of Chinese drugs. It includes the studies on herbs for activating blood circulation to remove blood stasis (ABCRBS) and herbs for reinforcing the vital energy (RVE) . Whether hyperviscosity, hypereoagulation and platelet aggregation, which may appear in the vessel - blood system, tend to be pathological states depends not only on the interactions among blood, blood flow and blood vessels, but also on certain external factors such as drug intervention. Special attention should thus be paid to the effects of herbs for ABCRBS and RVE on the shear -- dependent endothelial functions and the hemorheological changes for the aged.
