The Measurement and Analysis of Stress in the Shaping of the Shell of High-Strength Steel spherical Tank
|
Abstract:
Stresses in the shell shaping of the large pieces of high strength steel spherical tank were tested and analyzed.Based on the analysis of sell forming technical characteristics and the mechanics characteristics, a new measurement method was proposed, that is a test frame was installed on the steel plate. The test frame can move with the steel plate, which can protect sensors and assure the output of signal, and the technical condition of shell is stable. It can accurately measure the stress distribution and change regulation in the shell under the specific condition during punching. It is shown that in the process of punching, when the model is punched to the right place, the maximum stretching strains and the stress appear in the central area of the model. While the punching is released, the stress in this area becomes very low. This change is beneficial to the safety of the shell. Therefore,in the process of punching,it only needs to control the deformation of punching in order that the stress in the central area is lower than the strength limit of the material, there will be no craft crack in the material and disadvantageous mechanic factor in the central area.
