On the Multi-capillary Stable Electrical Atomization Spray Characteristics (II)-Relation Among Voltage/Current/Droplet Size and Flow Rate
|
Abstract:
Several key indexes of ethanol stable cone-jet spraying mode were compared under conditions of single capillary, one-line capillary, two-line metal capillaries, respectively. These indexes include relations among initial voltage of spray, initial electric current, droplet size and flow rate. During the experiment, some small uncertainties were unavoidable due to the temperature/humidity instability and lack of enough precision in manufacturing and assembling processes. But the relations among initial/return voltage, electric current, droplet size and flow rate present similar patterns under conditions of single capillary, one-line capillary, two-line metal capillaries, respectively. Namely, under stable voltage condition, (1) the 1/2 power of total spray flow rate (Q) is linearly proportional to the total electric current (I); (2) the 1/2 power of total spray flow rate (Q) is proportional to the mean droplets diameter (D).
