Vibration Model Study of Impeller Flow Channel Plugging in an Electrical Submersible Centrifugal Pump
|
Abstract:
Nowadays, electrical submersible pumps (ESP) are more and more widely used in oil field production due to their unique characteristics and advantages. But high failure rate may bring efficiency and economic loss in oil field development. Centrifugal pump is the core component of electrical submersible pump and is also a fault-prone component. The impeller flow channel plugging occurs frequently, which seriously impact the pump operation safety and reliability. According to the working characteristics and mechanical behavior of pump, the vibration recognition model for impeller flow channel plugging was established, and furthermore the motion equation of vibration model was derived. ESP operation under fault condition was experimentally simulated based on a large-scale home-built experimental device, and three-dimensional vibration signals were gained, which were used to draw time domain and frequency domain graph, Moreover, the vibration signals were elaborately analyzed by wavelet transformation. Results may help to study the vibration characteristics and verify the model reliability.
