Study of the Dynamic Behavior and Constitutive Relation of Salt Rock Acted by Impact Loading
|
Abstract:
A 75mm large-diameter SHPB was used to study the dynamic compression property of salt rock. Dynamic stress-strain curve was obtained, and analysis reveals that the salt rock presents remarkable effect of strain hardening and damage softening. A dynamic constitutive model for the salt rock was proposed by using two variables: one is the strain rate strengthen factor to describe the strain hardening and the other one is the damage factor related to irreversible strain to describe the strain softening. The agreement between the constitutive relation and the experimental results is quite well. The new relation is relatively simple and easy obtained, hence, is worth in engineering application.
