Abstract:
A double-column symmetrical holding device was designed for determining the critical load of a compression column with one fixed end and one free end when frequency method was applied.The aim of this design is to meet the special condition of free transverse vibration on the free end of column when the column was loaded along axis direction.The designed device was used to determine the critical load of column by frequency method,results of which were close to calculated results through Euler formula.Combine...
