Experimental Study and Analysis for Repairing Practice with Composite Bonding Patches
|
Abstract:
A series of static fracture strength and fatigue crack propagation tests are carried out to examine the feasibility of composite bonding patches used for aircraft structure repairing. In the tests, damaged structure parts of aircraft are simulated by Ly12CZ aluminum alloy specimens with a central crack, and different materials of bonding patches (aluminum alloy and composite), and also different patch size and bonding materials are considered. Test results are compared with each other and with some theoretical analysis.
