Experimental Study on the Secondary Breakup of Axisymmetrical Dissemination of Liquid in Axial Airflow
|
Abstract:
Laboratory researcies of axisymmetrical dissemination of liquid has important academic and technique significance for the development of FAE. The purpose of this paper is to study the atomization field of axisymmetrical dissemination of liquid under the action of axial airflow. With two shock tubes which are reformed, axisymmetrical dissemination of liquid under the action of axial airflow is achieved successful. In order to study the characters of atomization field, a laser scattering apparatus is used to obtain the distribution curves of SMD under different operating mode and different position. The experimental results confirm that with the increase of axial airflow velocity, the SMD of the early stage of secondary breakup decreased because of the increase of Weber number. With the increase of spray pressure, the SMD of the early stage of secondary breakup also decreased. And under the same operating mode, the SMD of atomization field increased with the increase of the distance of the measuring position to the spray nozzle.
