Axial Velocity of Coaxial Cross Jets

Abstract:
The effect of cross angles and density ratios on coaxial cross jets flow fields was investigated by using Dual PDA. A new equivalent diameter and equivalent velocity based on momentum conservation were proposed. The equivalent velocity agrees well with experimental data. The treatment can be used to describe the effect of cross angle and density ratio on the axial velocity decay in fully developed jet flow.
