Experimental Study of a Trussed Structure by Using FRF Based Substructuring Technique
|
Abstract:
This paper presents an exploratory experiment of a rigid frame structure by using Jetmundsen frequency based substructuring technique. The effect of interface integrity of degrees of freedom (DOFs) on synthesizing results was investigated. In experiment, the components of frequency response function (FRF) matrix related to the translational DOFs response and the force input were measured directly using accelerometer and force sensor, and those related to rotational DOFs response or moment input were obtained by using an indirect rotational DOFs measurement technique and modal analysis method. Experimental results indicate that dynamic characteristics of the structure may be effectively estimated by using the experimental substructure synthesis method. The introduction of rotational DOFs may improve the estimating quality.
