Progress in Research on Adiabatic Shearing
绝热剪切研究进展

Recent progress and achievements of adiabatic shearing study were reviewed based on the experimental techniques, analysis methodology and numerical simulation. Some shortcomings in existing investigation were indicated. That is: the microstructure characteristics in adiabatic shear bands are still unclear, the corresponding mechanical model is not established yet; the pressure sensitivity of adiabatic shear bands remains not fully explored; the shear band spacing depends on the constitutive relation employed, model describing the self organization of multiple shear bands remains to be further perfected; the numerical simulation accuracy of adiabatic shear bands needs to be improved. Finally, the future development trends of adiabatic shearing investigation are presented in this paper based on the domestic and overseas up to date developments.
