3D Reconstruction of Free Flying Insect Base on Biprism-Stereo Camera
|
Abstract:
A novel and practical stereo camera system which uses only one camera and a biprism placed in front of the camera is proposed to measure the kinematic parameters of free flight dragonfly including body position and attitude, wing deformation, flapping angle, torsional angle etc.The results of measurement will be very useful for the research of insect flight mechanism. An additional advantage of the system is that corresponding features lies on the scan-line automatically,if the camera and biprism are placed properly. The flexibility of dragonfly wing's deformation is investigated especially according to the measurement results with this method. It is predicted that the flexibility of dragonfly wing's mostly comes from the movement delay of the trailing edge to the leading edge.
