An investigation and study on the plant worship by Yi people in Chuxiong, Yunnan
云南楚雄彝族植物崇拜的调查研究

Based on a community-based study and an extensive field survey, the plant worship by the Yi people in Chuxiong, Yunnan and its culture content was inventoried. The effect and impact of the plant worship upon conservation and management of local biodiversity were highlighted. The possibility, necessity and feasibility to utilize traditional culture for modern nature conservation in China were discussed.
