A preliminary study on the conservative status of Sinojackia dolichocarpa
长果秤锤树保护现状的初步研究

inojackia dolichocarpa, which had been found in Shimen and Shangzhi County, Hunan Province, is the second category state protected endangered plant in China. In this paper, the status of it in situ conservation is studied including natural environment, the distribution, the size class structure type of its populations, the quantity, destruction, conservation and management. In addition, as a result of a preliminary study on its ex situ conservation in Wuhan Institute of Botany, its propagating methods, biological characteristics, in vitro, potentialities of exploitaiton and utilization and so on are expounded. In the end, some advice on how to conserve the germplasm resourse effectively is given.
