Preliminary Survey of Fish in Yangjifeng Nature Reserve, Jiangxi, China

A field survey of wild fish resources was conducted in the Yangjifeng Nature Reserve in July and November 2008, respectively. A total of 18 species, belonging to 3 orders 9 families and 17 genera were collected. Members of Cyprinidae were the main component on the fish fauna of the reserve, consisting of 10 species which were 55.56% in all species. A comparison of species biodiversity had been made among the sampled sites. Based on the status of the fish resources, some protective strategies were provided in the paper.
