A preliminary study on the hunting activities for the four mammals on Zhouskau Islands

Abstract:
Hunting is an important disturbing factor to wildlife. The hunting Percentage, amount harvested and hunting activity of Hydroptes inermis, Muntiacus reeveri, Viverricula and Felis bengalensis on Zhoushan Islands have been studied in this paper. The hunting percentage of four mammals in high and amount harvested is large. The illegal hunting activity on Zhoushan Islands and near by regions is rampant. It is suggested that the degree and range of hunting activity in China should be widely investigated, and protection effect of the Wildlife Protection Law of China should be studied.
