Flora Studies on Aquatic Angiosperm in Wetland of Erhai Lake basin
|
Abstract:
A comprehensive floristic investigation of aquatic angiosperm in Erhai Lake Basin was carried out in 2009. 100 species, 76 genera, and 38 families were found in the investigation. View at family, generic and species levels, the dominant taxonomic group is tropical origin, which is consistent with the climatic zone of the study area. Constructive species and dominant species are mostly cosmopolitan species. Compared with previous survey, degradation of aquatic plant resources in Erhai lake basin is significant. Species diversity decreased significantly. Number and distribution of submerged plant species showed a significant reduction in particular. Besides, Endemic and endangered species was deficient, only Ottelia acuminata was found in the filed. Meanwhile, several invasive species showed a further widening. According to above results, we predicted that species diversity and abundance in Erhai lake basin would continue to reduce in the future. Hazard degree of invasive species would be further expanded. As a result, biodiversity declined and ecological structure tended to be single in the basin. Therefore, recovery and reconstruction of aquatic plant population is urgent in Erhai lake basin.
