INFLUENCE OF INFRASOUND ON VESTIBULE AND COCHLEA
|
Abstract:
The results of this study are as follows:1. Permanent damage of the cochlea in function and morphology can be caused by infrasound exposure at 140dB LP.2. After infrasound exposure at 120dB LP temporary damage of the cochlea in function and morphology were induced.3. The vestibule was damaged in function and morphology after infrasound exposure at 140dB LP and 120dB LP.4. Damage of the vestibule was appeared after infrasound exposure at low intensity while damage of the cochlea was seen after infrasound exposure at height intensity.5. Damage of infrasound on the vestibule was more obvious than that on the cochlea.
