THE DISTRIBUTION OF ACh-POSITIVE IMMUNOREACTIVE NEURONS IN THE BRAIN OF THE HONEYBEE Apis sinensis
|
Abstract:
The morphology and distribution of acetylcholine (ACh)-positive immunoreactive neurons and fibers in the brain of the honeybee (Apis sinensis and Apis mellifera L.) were studied using anti-ACh serum by immunocytochemical techniques - peroxidase antiperoxidase (PAP) method. The results were compared with those from choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) and acetylcholine esterase (AChE) immunoreactivity in the brain of other insects.
