A SEPARABLE SPATIO-TEMPORAL GABOR MODEL AND TEMPORAL PROPERTIES OF RECEPTIVE FIELDS

Abstract:
On the basis of extended Gabor function model(EGM) of receptive field (RF), a variant form of EGM which is separable in spatio-temporal dimensions has been proposed in this paper. A variety of temporal properties of RF are simulated by this model. Two types of moving directional senitivity RF have been inferred from this model. Velocity tuning curves of on-off RF are simulated. It is possible that separable spatio-temporal model reasonably represents temporal properties of RF.
