LUMINESCENCE OF BIOMOLECULES BY TWO-PHOTON EXCITATION
|
Abstract:
The simultaneous two-photon absorption in biomolecules was first observed and further studied by us using a Nd:YAG laser. The characteristic properites of two-photon process have been discussed and the two-photon absorption cross sections for proteins have been estimated. The fluorescence spectra after two-photon excitation for trypsin, albumin and tryptophane are given in this paper.
