Characteristics of bio-floc technology and its further application prospect in shrimp culture in China
生物絮团技术特点及其在对虾养殖中的应用

Bio-floc technology is a technology with having some advantages such as maintaining the stability of the water environment, reducing the exchange of water, improving the survival rate of stocks, increasing production and lowering feed conversion ratio by adding organic carbon material to artificially regulate the microbial species and numbers. The study on formation conditions, composition, ecological function and several domestic and international aspects of the application of biofloc was inviewed in this paper, further research and application of it to shrimp culture in China was especially analyzed, the main research direction was put forward.
