Survey on zoobenthos diversity in Baiyangdian Lake and evaluation on water quality
白洋淀底栖动物多样性调查及水质评价

To study the zoobenthos and water quality in Baiyangdian Lake, a preliminary survey of zoobenthos in Baiyangdian Lake was carried out during December 2006, March to November 2007. A total of 23 Zoobenthic species, belonging to 3 phyla, were observed, including17 mollusca species, 2 annelida and 4 aquatic insects, which is a reduction compared to the last survey in 1958. Zoobenthos of Cipangopaludina chinensis (Gray), C.cathayensis (Heude), Bellamya.limnophila (Mabille) and Chirono-mus grplumosus Linn were found all the year round. The water quality was assessed by shannon-wiener index. The result shows that most parts of water are of moderate pollution except the sampling site of Yuanyangdao which was seriously polluted.
