The Shift Reagent Dy(ppp) can be used to identify the intra - and extracellular sodium. A series of experiments concerning composition of reagent, effect of pH and temperature, possible side effect of Dy(ppp) on cellular function, sodium NMR visibility have been done. The effect of Vc. Vb6. Hg on intracellular sodium of human erythrocytes have been observed.
