STUDY ON THE ANTIOXIDATIVE ACTIVITY OF FOURTEEN KINDS OF COMPOUNDS
|
Abstract:
The antioxidative activity of fourteen kinds of compounds was studied, using the inhibition rate of TBAS formation as an indicator, and three different relationships between antioxidative activity and concentration were found.(1) Linear relation was found in 11 kinds of compounds, which are listed below from higher antioxidative activity to lower: sodium diethyldithiocarbomate; diethylaminoethyl-p-hydroxy-cinnamate hydrochloride; 1-tryptophan; S, 2- (3-aminopropyl-amino)-ethyl phosphorothioic acid; S, 2-aminoethylisothiourea hydrochloride; dl-methi-onine;dl-histindine; ethyl alcohol; sodium citrate; glycine. (2) Ascorbate and 1-cystine at low concentration promoted the formation of TBAS, but inhibited it at high concentration. (3) Reduced glutathione showed antioxidative activity, and the relation between the effect and its concentration was exponential.
