NANOSECOND FLUORESCENCE SPECTROSCOPIC STUDIES ON THE HYDROPHOBICITY OF HEMOPROTEINS

Abstract:
The conformation and hydrophobicity of heme-binding regions on hemoglobin,leghemoglobin and horseradish peroxidase were studied by fluorescence probe and nanosecond fluorescence spectroscopy. The relationship between hydro- phobicity and activity of horseradish peroxidase has been discussed.
