IR ABSORPTION SPECTRA OF WATER MOLECULES IN LYSOZUME

Abstract:
The 1R absorption spectra of water in lysozyme film with various degree of hydration were recorded.At room temperature one high frequency band and one or two low freguency bands in both OH and OD regions are located.The frequency shift depends on the water content of lysozyme film. At low temperature radio A2420cm-1/A2480cm-1 raises with increase of water content, while R>0.2. The possible causes of high and low frequency bands and their relation to the freezing process were discussed.
