IMPROVED HYBRID MODEL OF DIFFUSE RELECTANCE OF LIGHTIN BIOLOGICAL TISSUE
|
Abstract:
Combining the accuracy advantage of the Monte Carlo method near the light source and the fast-resolved advantage of the diffusion theory, an improved hybrid model was developed to simulate the diffuse reflectance of light in a biological tissue slab model. In the diffusion step, the radiance was expressed as the integral of the radiance over the backward hemisphere (i.e. the radiance was expressed the sum of two terms, one term is proportional to the intensity and the other is proportional to the flux) when computed the diffuse reflectance. Even on the condition of high computed speed, the accuracy is still improved. And the results also illustrate that this improved model is adaptive to simulate the diffuse reflectance of light in case of strong absorption.
