RESEARCH ON SLOW WAVE COMPONENT OF ELECTROCOCHLEOGRAM RECORDED FROM ROUND WINDOW IN GUINEA PIGS
|
Abstract:
Through the bandpass filter 0.8-150Hz. a slow wave component of electrocochleogram (SWC-ECochG) oesp nsed to the sounds of low frequency was recorded from round window in guinea pigs. The experimental results indicated that the responsive threshold of SWC -ECochG elicited by 0.5kHz tone burst was 7.29dB nHL. it was lower than that of Fast Wave Component of EcochG by 38.27dB nHL. We observed changes of SWC-ECochG after cutting off audiotory pathway at various level, which suggest that SWC - ECochG is possibly composed of the slow component of electric responses of acoustic nerve and hair cells. and may be regulated by efferent auditory pathway.
