PHOSPHOLIPASE C INDUCED MEMBRANE FUSION
|
Abstract:
induced membrane fusion of model membrane (lip9osome) made of a single component of phospholipid was studied by light scattering measurement electeron microscopy observation and fluoascence nsonance energy-transfer recording. It was shown that DOPC liposome fusion can be induce by PLC while DMPC liposona fusion was not observed under the same condition. The result demonstrates that the PLC induce fUsion of liposomes composed of a single lipid is possible. Possibility of the PLC induced fusion is dependent on the lipid structare. Natural biomembranes such as rat blood ghost, human RBC membrane rat macrophage membrane and a flower protoplast membrane were used to study the possibility of Ccll fusion indused by PLC. No membrane fusion was detected. It suggests the difficulty of the PLC induced membrane fUsion of natural biomembrane.
