AN INHIBITION EFFECT OF MACROMOLECULES ON RBC AGGREGATION STUDIED WITH CONDUCTIVE METHOD
|
Abstract:
The macromolecules in suspending medium were usually looked upon as an agent bridging two erythrocytes and enhancing RBC aggregation. But, macromolecules in high concentration can inhibit RBC aggregation. The reason was considered to be that macromolecules in high concentration can enhance RBC surface potential. But, we found macromolecules in low concentration can also inhibit RBC aggregation under certain condition. The results show that the macromlecules not only can affect RBC surface potential, but also can destroy mechanical property of RBC membrane. This is another inhibition effect of macromolecules on RBC aggregation.
