THE DEVELOPMENT OF FLOW CYTOMETER

Flow cytometer is a biological instrument of high-technology involving with Optic Mechanics, Electronics, Fluid Dynamics, laser and computer. It has been used widely in biological research and clinical medicine. The successful development of our multiparameter flow cytometer, which was wholly home-made and appraised by Academia Sinica recently, will promote the development of flow cytometry and its application in our country. Its principle, basic components, technique keys and specifications are introduced in this paper.
