EFFECT OF TRITON X-100ON THE PROPERTIES OF UV FLUORESCENCE OF BACTERIORHODOPSIN(BR)

Abstract:
The effect of Triton X- 100 on UV fluoresimce of BR and Bacteriopsin (BO) has showed that fluomecence emission of BR inCreases as Triton X-100 increases.With the solubdrition of BR by TX-100,this non-ionic detergwt induce the change of retinal chIDmophore envirDInent, destroyeS the energy tlanfer beta retinal and Trp in BR and make asidual Trp circumstance more hydrohobic.
