AN ADAPTIVE CONTROL SYSTEM OF BLOOD PRESSURE
|
Abstract:
An adaptive control system was designed for blood pressure regulation. At first, the blood pressure dynamic responses to cardiostimulatory or vasoac-tive drug were recorded from the animal experiments.By using least-squares method, the range of parameters of the plant was obtained.Based on these information, adaptive control systems were designed by using model reference algorithm and self-tuning algorithm. The stability of model reference adaptive system with variable time delay was designed by hyperstability criterion, and pole-assignment selftuning controller was designed based on recursiue least-squares algorithm. Computer simulation indicated that these algorithms might be successfully applied to the control of blood pressure despite the uncertainty in delay, time constant and gain. Furthermore, a series of experiments for raising or reducing blood pressure were performed on 18 dogs. It has shown that these algorithms all have good transient charateristics. We expect that these adaptive controller will improve the performance of drug infusion Systems in clinical treatment
