STUDIES ON SOME SPECTRAL CHARACTERISTICS AND CHLOROPHYLL PROTEIN COMPONENT OF AN OXYGEN-EVOLVING PSII CORE COMPLEX

A highly active O2-evolving PSII core complex had been isolatedfrom spinach leaves, and its PSII photo chemical activities, characteristics ofabsorption ipectra, fluorescence spectra and chlorophyll protein component hadbeen studied. It was a purer and smaller O2-evolving structural unit deprived of both PSI component and LHC-II.Some subjects such as PSII reaction center Chla absorption component and CPa band have been discussed.
