CHEMILUMINESENCE STUDY ON THE LIPID PRROXIDATION INITATED BY FERROUS
|
Abstract:
This lipid peroxidation of rat-liver microsomes initiated by ADP-Fe2 and its enhancement byy some metal ions have been studied by both chemiluminescence and MDA methods. Results show that a latent period of about five minutes before lipid perondation aviation can be observed when only ferrous ion exists in the system. The increase of ferrous concenustion results in the enhance of lipid peroxidation in the same concentration of microsome. If we injected both forrous ion and ferric ion in the system at the same time, the latent period in the lipid peroxidation disappearal. The ADP-Al3 . ADP-Fe3 and ADP-Pb2 did not initiate the lipid peroxidation of microsomes by themselves, but they could accelerate the lipid peroxidation initiated by ADP-Fe2 , In the presence of ADP-Fe2 , the lipid peroxidation was enhance with the increase of ferric ion concentration. Compared with MDA method, the results from chemiluminescenee show that micrsomes itself quench the chemilunimescence of lipid peroxidation.
