THE HARD EXCITATION IN THEORETICAL MODEL OF Dictystelium discoideum

Abstract:
This paper is a numerical study of the covalent enzyme modification model which is first used by J. L. Martiel & A. Goldbeter. We find some interesting phenomena in this system, eg. resonance and hard excitation, which can be used to account for the behaviors of oscillation and relay of cAMP which control the differentiation and chemotaxis during interphase in slime mould Dictyostelium discoideum.
