COMPUTER ANALYSIS OF MECHANORECEPTOR OUTPUT SIGNALS IN THE COCKROACH (PERIPLANETA AMERICANA)

The time-course and amplitude sequence (TAS), raster, time-sequence distribution (TSD), ogive (cumulative density function), raster-frequency, 3-dimension hidden line display, pulse amplitude histogram and interval histogram were applied to analyse the pulse amplitudes and intervals of mechano-rcccptor output signals in the cockroach (Periplaneta americana). The dynamic relationship between stimulations and responses can be revealed through the display and analysis techniques mentioned above.
