SONG CHARACTERISTICS OF MOLE-CRICKET
非洲蝼蛄(G.africana Palisot de Beauvois)的鸣声特点

In this paper,the song charcteristics in the Beijing mole-cricket(G.africa-na.)are analysed.The calling song of G.africana.is similar to the whistle that consists of amplitude-modulated syllable.The spectral property of the syllable is basically consistent. For a syllable, the main peak frequency(MPF)of carrier wave,the tuning sharpness (Q3dB) and the bandwidth at level 20 dB below the MPF is 2539 Hz,17.3 and 479 Hz,respectively.But the whistle period and the syllable period are non-homogeneous. In song section consisting of 302 whistles, the main distributive range of the whistle period and of the mean period of the syllable in each whistle is 115-225ms and 12.90-15.75 ms,respectively.These results may provide some information for study of the biological prototype and the mathematical model in sound equipment luring mole-crickets.
