STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF 5''-CAPS,3''-TAILS AND INTRONS OF NUCLEIC ACID SEQUENCES

Abstract:
A statistical analysis on 800 nucleic acid sequences is given from th estand point of information theory.The information indices D1,D2 X and F and their averages have been calculated for 5'-,3'- and encoding regions of the sequences, introns and spacers respectively.The comparison of these indices and their statistical dependence on molecular evolution has been discussed.
