Propagation of Virus-free Potato Using a Nutrient Mist Bioreactor
|
Abstract:
Shoot culture and microtuber induction of potato( Solanum tuberosum )in a nutrient mist bioreactor(NMB) were studied.Changes of biomass, nutrient mist transfer and sugar consumption during the shoot culture and time course of tuber induction were investigated. Results showed that, compared with liquid or solid medium, the nutrient mist bioreactor improved the efficiency of shoot propagation and promoted microtuber induction.Using two-step method improved the effects of NMB on microtuber induction.
