Abstract:
In the Soil-Plant-Atmosphere Continuum(SPAC),stomata controls the gas exchanges,its behavior is frequently affected by microclimatic conditions and physiological processes.Radiation,air temperature,(CO_2]),and soil moisture are the main factors affecting stomatal aperture.During soil drying,the root-sourced abscisic acid(ABA) plays a central role as a long distance signal inducing stomatal closure and reduction of leaf expansion,both reduce plant water use.With summer maize(cv.Shandan 902),experiments in a...
