Based on the practical experience of Xingride Farm, the paper presents the possibility of transforming and improving the desert ecosystem of Qinghai-Xizang (Tibet) plateau into an agricultural ecosystem although the former appears to be simple in structure, low in function, and weak in ecosytem balance.
