The scales of Megalobrama terminalis (Richardson) ,Plagiognathops microlepis (Bleeker), Cyprinus carpio (Linnaeus) and Aristichthys nobilis (Richardson) collected from the Qiantang River in 1975 and 1976 are used for investigating their age and growth. The relationship between the scale length and body length is shown through the equations.
