Population dynamics of the tree sparrow (Passer montanus) were studied in the breeding period of 1980-1981 at a rural area near Shunyi County, Beijing (40°09'N, 116°39' E).In the suburbs of Beijing, for the population as a whole, the duration of the breeding season lasted about ninety-four days.
