Seasonal dynamics and grazing rate of zooplankton in Yeqing Bay

Abstract:
The species composition, biomass, abundance and species diversity of zooplankton were determined for samples collected from 14 stations in Yeqing Bay from August 2002 to May 2003. Phytoplankton growth rate and microzooplankton grazing rate were obtained using the dilution method developed by Landry and Hassett. We have also analyzed the spatial and temporal variation of zooplankton and its relationship with environmental factors.
